I came from a family that appreciated photography, and how these images told a story of people and their lives.  Looking at photos of family, friends, events, and places helps to give me a sense of who I am and where I came from.  It also helped me to appreciate the beauty in everyday life and the people around us, and the amazing images we see in our own neighborhood, all the way to the moon and stars above us.  

 

I'm a hobbyist photographer with a regular job, but get out when I can here on Maui to take photos.  I made some very good friends when I joined the Maui Camera Club about 10 years ago, and some of us get together for adventures in shooting the Milky Way, sunsets, whales, birds, flowers, and most recently the Comet that has been visible from Maui.  

 

I have definitely learned more going out and shooting with other photographers, and I believe my images have improved as a result.  I look forward to many more years with my Maui Camera Club mates, and to improving my skills even more!
